Application Development
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Senior Biologist at a leading lake management company who wanted to calculate volumes for a 4000 acre lake in upstate, New York.
This was a difficult goal because existing bathymetry data dated back to 1980 and no new depth survey work had been performed. He said he needed a way to produce accurate calculations of lake volumes at various depth thresholds.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with the capability of using a real-time data collection application that combined differential GPS input with SONAR data to create a new three dimensional spatial data representation of the lake bed. The client was able to efficiently collect enough data to create new bathymetry data for the entire lake. This new data was used as part of the client's pre-treatment survey that resulted in treatment recommendations.

Application Development
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Team Leader of Emergency Operations at a large federal government agency who wanted to create a process to import critical spatial and attribute data into a central emergency response database.
Challenges included many different formats of source data and ongoing changes to data structure. He said he needed a way to import the spatial and attribute data on a daily basis and know which remote databases had synchronized with the central database.
We were able to provide him with a new application that imported the data he needed as a scheduled task each night. The client was able to distribute the most current spatial, and attribute data to emergency response personnel.

Application Development
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Information Technology Manager at a County who wanted to streamline workflows associated with GIS data editing, consolidate many GIS data sources, and publish the same data to the internet for public access.
The previous process for publishing data to the web took hours of data translation and provided very limited functionality to end users. He said he needed a way to integrate with an existing web application that is used to provide property information to the public.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with a custom ArcGIS Server web application that allowed him to publish the desired GIS data and functionality to the internet. The customer was also able to integrate with the existing web application and leverage existing data and functionality.

Cartography
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Senior Biologist at a leading lake management company who wanted to create new bathymetry mapping for a 4000 acre lake in upstate, New York.

The client was able to efficiently collect enough data to create new bathymetry data for the entire lake. This new data was used to create new bathymetry maps detailing areas of invasive weed growth.

Data Collection
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Water Operator at a water and sewer system management company who wanted to create a GIS to store all water and sewer data for multiple metropolitan districts in Colorado.
Challenges included utility data that was either non-existent, stored on hard-copy plans, or in a proprietary CAD format. He said he needed a way to produce accurate utility maps and have the ability to locate utilities in an efficient manner.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with the capability to use post-processed, differential GPS to collect the location of water and sewer utilities. We were able to help the client efficiently collect the necessary source and GPS data to populate the newly designed GIS.

Database Design
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Director of Software Development at a wireless communications company who wanted to enhance an existing emergency response application with new functionality and improved performance.
This goal was challenging due to the fact that application was built on some outdated technology. He said he needed a way to add a security model that will restrict access to application components and create a way to import data from existing databases.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with a solid re-designed application that included all of the enhancements he requested and more. The client was able to provide existing customers with the newly updated application and new sales of the application grew over 125%.

Geodatabase
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Water Operator at a water and sewer system management company who wanted to create a GIS to store all water and sewer data for the systems he was operating.
Challenges included utility data that was either non-existent, stored on hard-copy plans, or in a proprietary CAD format. He said he needed a way to produce an accurate and current representation of what exists in the sewer and water systems he is responsible for managing.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with geodatabase design and GPS data collection assistance that resulted in a model that met all of the clients design criteria. We were able to help the client efficiently collect the necessary source and GPS data. The client was able to populate the new geodatabase with spatial and attribute data for the sewer and water systems he is responsible for managing.

Implementation
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Manager of a regional sanitation district who wanted to develop a GIS to store all sewer and system maintenance data for a sanitation system.
Challenges included utility data that was either non-existent, stored on hard-copy plans, or in a proprietary CAD format. He said he needed a way to record maintenance information as it was performed on the system.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with the capability to use post-processed, differential GPS to collect the location of sewer utilities and a custom web application to track maintenance records. The customer was able to consolidate all system related information into the GIS system and the web application allowed him to stay compliant with state regulations.

Spatial Analysis
Animas Geographic Technology worked with a Managing Partner at a rural planning institute who wanted to create a model and the tools to calculate transportation trends based on various build-out scenarios in a rural Montana county.
The existing transportation network was lacking the necessary attributes and no off-the-shelf software tools were able to provide the desired functionality to meet the goals of the project. He said he needed a way to produce an accurate representation of current and forecast transportation usage on all roadways managed by the county.
Animas Geographic Technology provided him with services to perform database development, create a data model, and develop a software application that together resulted in a model that met all of the clients design criteria. The client was able to use the resultant data sets to create a number of statistical and cartographic representations illustrating the fiscal impact analysis of current and future growth scenarios.
